Hi there. Just spent about an hour reading the blog and its wonderful. What an adventure. It really brought back my India trip memories, the highs and lows, emotional ups and downs, the poverty, begging, lepers, smells and yet, the colours, sounds, generosity and totally amazing people. Feels like a very different world from UK pre election :) Take care & please keep blogging, puts our lives and worries into perspective. S x ps. Emily asked to say hello
What an amazing experience you're having - and its brilliant to read your account and see your lovely pictures. I've been to Nepal (inc. Pokhara) and done the Annapurna base camp trek - so can identify a bit with what you've described. But it must be so different and enriching staying with a Nepali family and working in schools. Incidentally the English teaching method is the one I was trained in with Berlitz years ago ('this is a pen' 'what is it?' 'this is a pen' 'is it a book?' 'no, its a pen..' etc., etc..) Its very strange here post-election. Hung parliament.. don't know who will form a govt.. there's the awful prospect of having a Tory government once again...
